Yi Taek-gyun

Yi Taegyun was a Korean court painter active in the later nineteenth century. He painted screens of books and objects associated with a scholar's study. These images developed in royal settings and spread among the aristocracy. A concealed seal on the Cleveland screen helps identify his authorship.
