Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo trained in Andrea del Verrocchio's Florentine workshop, which practised painting, sculpture and metalwork. Later, seeking employment with the Sforza in Milan, he particularly stressed his engineering skills. His notebooks bring together anatomy, geometry, natural observation and machinery.
