Giorgione

Few documents survive about Giorgione, and the attribution of many paintings remains disputed. He worked with Titian, who completed some of his pictures. In 1508 he painted frescoes on Venice's Fondaco dei Tedeschi. Letters from late 1510 already record his death. His short documented career leaves many questions unresolved.
