Bronzino

Bronzino trained with Pontormo and absorbed Michelangelo's influence. His portrait patrons included Cosimo de' Medici, Eleonora of Toledo, their children and courtiers. Work for this circle made portraiture part of presenting a dynasty and courtly status.
